Summary
Holderness & Bourne is a fast-growing men’s golf apparel brand based in Armonk, New York with a company culture that emphasizes excellence, collaboration, and a friendly work environment.
We are looking for an Assistant Technical Designer to join our technical design team reporting to the Technical Designer. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience working in apparel product development and tech design. The role will work closely with design, sourcing, product development and production teams to deliver the highest level of product and experience to our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities

Measure samples (fit, PP’s, Top’s), comparing measurements, construction, and execution to tech pack requirements in preparation for fittings.

Attend fittings, take detailed notes, and update tech packs as needed.

Create initial tech packs including specs, construction details and grades, working closely with design and product development to ensure that all items are clear and accurate.

Daily communication with overseas vendors and agents, addressing and clarifying any questions and updating tech packs as necessary.

Maintain fit logs and work-in-progress reports ensuring all comments are sent in a timely manner.

Work closely and collaboratively with design, product development and production.
Required Skills & Experience

Knowledge of how to fit on live models and on a virtual avatar.

Working knowledge of CLO.

Knowledge of garment construction in knits, wovens, sweaters, bottoms and outerwear, menswear preferred.

Knowledge of pattern/spec grading.

Proficient in Excel, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop, PLM & CLO.

Strong verbal and written skills.

Strong diligence and organizational skills.
Salaries & Benefits
The successful candidate will enjoy a compelling overall compensation package including base salary ranging from $65k - $75k based on experience, potential for additional performance-based compensation, full health insurance coverage, 401(k) with employer match, product discounts, and other benefits.
Location / Travel Requirements
This position will be based at our headquarters at 12 Labriola Court, in Armonk, New York.
