Summary

Holderness & Bourne is a fast-growing men’s golf apparel brand based in Armonk, New York with a company culture that emphasizes excellence, collaboration and a friendly work environment. 

We are seeking a versatile, proactive, and detail-oriented IT Technical Analyst to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will be the backbone of our daily technology operations. You will be responsible for providing excellent frontline IT support to our staff, ensuring the stability and performance of our network infrastructure, and safeguarding our systems through proactive security management. The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver who enjoys interacting with users just as much as configuring firewalls and optimizing network traffic.

Key Responsibilities

1. Help Desk & User Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user technical issues, logging, tracking, and resolving requests via our ticketing system.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues (printers, tablets, etc.) for Windows, Android, Zebra, macOS, and iOS devices.

  • Manage user lifecycle processes, including onboarding (provisioning hardware and accounts) and offboarding.

  • Administer core business applications, including Google Workspace, JAMF and Soti.

  • Willingness to support second shift operations (5PM to 1AM) on rotational basis. 

2. Network Management:

  • Configure, maintain, and monitor the company’s LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.

  • Manage network hardware, including routers, switches, access points, and UPS devices

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and bandwidth issues to ensure high availability.

  • Manage network backups, disaster recovery protocols, and business continuity planning.

  • Liaise with ISPs and third-party vendors for escalated troubleshooting and service management.

3. Security Management:     

  • Administer and monitor endpoint detection and response (EDR), antivirus, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

  • Configure and maintain network security appliances, including firewalls and VPNs.

  • Perform regular vulnerability scans, system patching, and access control audits to ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and serve as a first responder for potential security incidents.

  • Assist in developing and executing employee security awareness training and simulated phishing campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.

Technical Competencies

  •       Strong proficiency in administering Windows and macOS environments.

  •          Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).

  •       Experience with firewall management (e.g., Fortinet, Extreme Networks) and routing/switching.

  •       Familiarity with identity and access management Google Workspace).

  •       Experience administering endpoint security, patch management, and backup solutions.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications (any of the following are a strong plus):
  • CompTIA: Network+, Security+, or CySA+

  • Google: Workspace Administrator (Associate or Professional)

  • JAMF: Jamf Certification (Associate, Tech or Admin)
