We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cloud Solutions Engineer. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
About the Role:
As a cloud engineer you will leverage your expertise in Python development to create efficient and scalable python scripts and API calls that integrate seamlessly with our cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet business requirements and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions, and implement best practices for cloud infrastructure and services.

Utilize Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub to build scalable, observable, and reliable applications.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python/SQL code to implement backend services, APIs, and automation scripts.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of cloud-based applications.

Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure and applications.

Implement security best practices and compliance standards to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data stored in the cloud.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and integrations.

Stay updated on the latest developments in cloud technology and Python programming to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Actively engage in code reviews, documentation efforts, and knowledge sharing sessions to foster collaboration and maintain high code quality standards.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

3+ years demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar (AWS, Azure).

Technical Skills
-
Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience developing backend services, APIs, and automation scripts.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform/Azure DevOps or similar

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman or equivalent.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, cloud security principles, and identity and access management (IAM) in a cloud environment.

Experience with version control systems such as Google Cloud Source (or Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer) are a plus.

Location: This position is preferred to be in office, at our headquarters in Armonk, NY, however, hybrid / remote candidates will also be considered.
