About Mason
In August, golf phenom Mason Howell, H&B ambassador, Georgia high school senior, and incoming Georgia Bulldog chalked up a decisive 7-up victory to win the 125th United States Amateur Championship at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.
This marks another huge waypoint on a terrific 2025 campaign
for the 18-year-old student from Brookwood School in Thomasville, Georgia, including winning the Georgia High School Individual Stroke Play State Championship, along with medaling at the U.S. Junior Am.
Mason’s successful spring/summer campaign last year saw him
shooting a pair of 63s with 18 birdies and 18 pars in the mix to qualify for
the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, making Mason—at 17 years old—the youngest player in the field.
The win at the U.S. Amateur earned Mason exemptions to play in the 2026 Masters and the 2026 U.S. Open, along with a slot on the 2025 USA Walker Cup team at Cypress Point and an invitation to Florida to practice for the 2026 Walker Cup Match.
